Why do I need Tri-Tran+™

Increasingly our environment is filled with wireless devices such as cordless headphones, wireless sound systems and more, many of which operate on the same frequencies as door and gate openers. Frustratingly, these devices can jam out your door or gate opener’s receiver, and the offending device may not even be in your building, it could be over 200 metres away.

Tri-Tran™128 overcomes this challenge by simultaneously transmitting on three different frequencies. Even if two frequencies are jammed, the Tri-Tran™128 transmitter will still operate your door. Tri-Tran™128 is your insurance that your garage door will continue to operate without interference for years to come, no matter what new technology is introduced to the surrounding area.

Servicing Tri-Tran+™

Dominator's current range of openers feature 'PG-3 Programmer' integration which allows service professionals to swiftly service and upgrade your opener with the latest operating firmware and advanced functions.

Dominator service agents, are able to perform firmware updates when they service your door and opener to ensure optimal performance and security features. 

Our openers are even able to remind you when a service is due!

Safety Beams

Safety Beams detect movement or an obstruction in the garage door's path and stops, the reverses the door to avert serious damage being done and to help protect your family, car and pets. 

Use Safety Beams to trigger the auto-close mode after a vehicle has left the garage.

Required when using the Smart Phone Control Kit or Auto-Close Function.

To Disengage the Opener:

1. It is recommended to do so with the door in the closed position.
2. Pull the manual release cord towards the door, until you hear a click.
3. Move the door manually.

CAUTION: When the opener is manually disengaged, the door is no longer locked. To lock the door manually, re-engage the opener after the door is closed.

To Re-Engage the Opener:

1. Check the door has not been locked by a locking device.
2. Pull the manual release cord away from the door, until you hear a click.
3. The door will now operate from the opener.

CAUTION: Do not use the string handle as a mechanism to open the door. Failure to comply may cause serious injury.

Storing the Remote Control Code:

A Dominator opener can only be operated from remote controllers that have been programmed into its memory.

Up to 64 remotes can be stored in the memory.

1. Remove the back controls cover to access the buttons.
2. Press the MODE button repetitively until the REMOTE INDICATOR is lit.
3. Press and HOLD the CLOSE button to set Open / Stop / Close function. The Main light will start to flash rapidly.
4. While HOLDING the CLOSE button, press one of the four (4) buttons on the remote control until the main light starts to flash rapidly, then release the remote button ONLY.
5. Press the same remote button again until the main light stops flashing rapidly. Then release BOTH buttons.
6. Press the MODE button to exit. The remote button is now coded, press to test.
7. Don't forget to refit the controls cover. 

Battery Replacement:

Battery Type: 1x CR2032 3V Lithium Coin Battery

1. To check the condition of the current battery, press and hold a remote button. Check Light Status table to determine if battery needs replacing.
2. Undo the philips screw from the back of the remote and remove the front metal section.
3. Use finger nails to separate the remote casing to expose circuit board.
4. Use a non-metallic object to push the battery down through the side opening to remove the battery.
5. Replace with a quality CR2032 battery with the '+' (positive) side up.
6. Align the remote casing and push to clip back together.
7. Hold the front metal section in place, then insert and tighten the philips screw.

WARNING! The battery is hazardous and must be kept out of reach of children. The battery can cause severe or fatal injuries within 2 hours or less if swallowed or placed inside any part of the body. If you suspect the battery has been swallowed or placed inside any part of the body, SEEK IMMEDIATE medical attention.
