Sectional garage doors are designed to be operated with an automatic garage door opener to provide greater convenience, safety and security.

For the ultimate Door & Opener package, we suggest a premium Next Gen opener with super quiet Belt-drive for your new Dominator Garage Door.

Colour Options

Choose from our wide range of colour options to suit your personal taste and the style of your home.

All our pre-painted steel is made for New Zealand conditions.

To ensure you select the perfect shade for your project, it's best to view a colour sample in person. The colors can vary slightly on different screens or prints, so seeing a physical sample through your local Dominator dealer will give you the most accurate representation.

Window Options

Add Some Light to Your Garage.

Many of our garage doors can be customised to suit your tastes. One way in which you can do this is by adding window panels.

Not only do they add curb appeal, they provide additional light.

Sizing/Headroom

Our doors are provided for standard headroom (350mm) situations, unless otherwise specified.

Rear torsion and Intermediate Low Headroom systems are available as optional extras. Please discuss Low Headroom requirements with your local Dominator Dealer.

Weather Protection

No longer just a garage, this room has a multiple of uses these days, so weather protection is a key consideration of any new garage door.

Our doors are built from pre-painted steel that is made and tested for New Zealand conditions. Mohair strip attached to the opening surround, plus a durable multi-fin bottom weatherseal help keep the leaves and rain outside. 

Framing Details

We recommend the following standard clearances for Sectional Doors:

• Standard Headroom - 300mm
• Standard Headroom with Opener - 330mm
• Sideroom - 120mm
• Backspace with opener - 3500mm (Door height up to 2300mm)

Lifting Systems

Dominator Sectional Garage Doors are counter-balanced with torsional springs installed above the opening. 

Regular servicing will ensure the correct tension is maintained over the life of your door, placing less stress on components and your opener.

We recommend your door & opener are serviced once in the first 12-months and then 2-yearly after that - see our Door Care & Maintenance page for more information.

Premium key-ring remotes that operate across 3 seperate frequencies ensure interference free operation.
