Safety Infra-Red Beams

These can be fitted to your opener, so that if the beam is broken while the door is in use, the door will automatically stop and reverse, without making contact with whomever has broken the beam. Dominator recommends the use of safety infra-red beams on all automatic garage doors.

Automatic Reverse Function

Automatic reversing is a standard feature of our GDO openers. If the garage door comes into contact with an obstruction on its downward journey it stops and reverses back up, or if it comes into contact with an obstruction on its upward journey it automatically stops.

Entry Keypads

A Dominator Entry Keypad allows you to open your garage door using a pin number. This is a handy solution for a busy household, children can have access to enter the home without having to worry about them keeping track of keys, you can pop out without needing to carry anything and no one need ever be locked out!

Dominator’s TrioCode™ Technology works on three frequencies to protect you from jamming caused by wireless devices in your neighbourhood.

Rechargeable Battery Backup

In the event of a blackout or a break to your power supply, your opener will still be operational with a rechargeable battery backup. A simple solution that could make a major difference in the case of power outages!

TrioCode™ Technology

TrioCode™ uses ‘code hopping’ to generate trillions upon trillions of rolling codes, creating a new code every time the garage door is operated. This way, only your transmitters will open your garage door and the transmission can’t be hacked by anyone trying to gain access to your home.

Another way that TrioCode™ Technology works for you is by simultaneously transmitting on three different frequencies. Wireless devices such as cordless headphones, wireless sound systems and much more are becoming increasingly common. Often these devices operate on the same frequencies as door and gate openers and can jam out your opener’s receiver, even from over 200 metres away. With three frequencies available, even if two frequencies are jammed, the TrioCode™ transmitter will still operate your door. TrioCode™ is your insurance that your garage door will continue to operate without interference for years to come, no matter what new technology is introduced to the surrounding area.

SmartPhone Control Kit

The Dominator SmartPhone Control Kit lets you check the status of your garage door and control it from anywhere in the world*!

You can monitor your garage 24/7 and you’ll receive notifications when anyone uses your door, all via a smartphone app, so easy! If you ever leave the house and worry that you might have forgotten to close the garage door, the Dominator SmartPhone Control Kit would be able to tell you whether or not the door is open. If you’re not home, the Dominator SmartPhone Control Kit will let you know each time the garage door is operated, and who is using it!

Our Smart Phone Control Kit is available as an optional accessory on all new residential Dominator garage door openers.
